WINONA, Miss. (WCBI) – Winona residents will get a chance to weigh in on both Sunday beer sales and the city’s budget

Aldermen have set a public hearing for 4:30 Tuesday afternoon to take public comments on allowing Sunday beer sales at convenience stores and restaurants.

A convenience store owner brought up the idea two weeks ago.

At 5:00, aldermen will hold a public hearing on the city’s tax rate and budget which takes effect October 1st.

The budget includes a small tax increase and increases in some fees. The meetings are at city hall.
