Woman Sentenced For Hammer Attack

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Noxubee County woman will spend three years in prison for hitting another woman in the head with a hammer.

Patricia Ramsey, 44, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.

At the time of the October 2014 incident, Noxubee County Sheriff Terry Grassaree told WCBI that Ramsey and Bessie Johnson started arguing.

Johnson was hit in the head several times.

Judge Jim Kitchens sentenced Ramsey this week.
