Video: $1 Million Bond Set for Starkville Armed Robbery Suspect

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — The man accused of shooting an unarmed convenience store clerk in Starkville makes his first appearance in court Monday evening.

Bond is set at $1 million for 33-year old Cedrick Young, who is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Young allegedly walked into the BQuick Chevron located on the corner of Lynn Lane and Louisville Street just after midnight Friday. He is accused of making off with $130, but not before shooting the store clerk in the head, execution style.

Young was also wanted on probation violation, for a robbery conviction out of Louisiana.

Starkville Police reported over the weekend that the clerk remains in the hospital, listed in stable condition.
The investigation continues.
