LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Two Plantersville residents are behind bars after leading deputies on a chase.

Lee County sheriff’s deputies arrested 24-year-old Steven Jackson and 39-year-old Tosha Parker after they led authorities on a chase.

Thursday, Lee County sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, driven by Jackson, for suspicious activity.

As deputies approached the vehicle, the vehicle fled.

At some point during the chase, the Jackson and Parker got out of the vehicle near County Road 814 and attempted to flee on foot.

Upon arresting the two, deputies searched the vehicle and discovered four grams of methamphetamine.

Jackson was charged with felony eluding and possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $40,000. Parker was charged with possession of meth, and her bond was set at $20,000.
