3 Suspects Arrested in 3 Different West Point Crimes

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – West Point Police make three arrests after three separate incidents in the Point City.

Derrick ” Slick” Johnson was arrested Sunday (7-7) after a citizen spotted him, in a car, and alerted police.

Johnson is charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

His alleged crimes happened on June 25th at the Jim James Court Apartments.

Johnson is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Meanwhile, West Point Police and U.S. Marshals caught up with Charles Saul Junior on Monday (7-8).

He is charged in connection with a drive by shooting that happened, on June 15th, in the Brame Avenue area.

Nobody was hit.

Saul’s bond is also set at $100,000.

And finally, West Point Police and Department of Corrections investigators tracked down Jamar Jones Tuesday (7-9).

They think he shot a man, on 5th Street, on June 26th.

Jones’ alleged victim suffered a non life-threatening injury.

He is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
