Happy 4th of July! Hope you and your family have a wonderful day! It will be a close call as to whether or not it will rain along and east of Hwy 45 today.
4th of July: Showers and storms remain in the forecast and once again they will favor the eastern half of our viewing area. It looks like locations east of US 45 will have the greatest potential for rain while areas to the west may not see much activity at all. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. Looking at recent trends of what’s actually going on compared to what the forecast models think – I’m thinking most of the day will be dry. The best chance of rain looks to stay right across the MS/AL line. I’m thinking 40% chance of rain during 11a-7p.
Friday – Sunday: Tropical moisture will remain in place and that spells a continued threat of showers and storms area wide. Pockets of heavy rain will be possible during this time, especially Friday and Saturday. If we’re lucky the rain chances will lower just a bit on Sunday. Highs will be in the 80s while lows will be in the low 70s.
