911 System back to Normal in Chickasaw

CHICKASAW, Miss. (WCBI)–Chickasaw county’s 911 system is back up and running after it was damaged by a lighting strike. The strike knocked out the 911 system Sunday night. Officers could only communicate with a backup radios. Tuesday (9-4), 911 calls are back up and the Sheriff’s Office is able to receive all calls and send dispatch. The main phone system for the county offices and jail remains down. They hope to be fully operational soon.
