It wasn’t all that long ago that Greg Oden led Ohio State to the national title game, and became the first overall pick in the NBA draft.
The last six years have brought 5 knee surgeries for the 25 year old center.
Now, if you believe his friends, Oden is running, lifting weights and looking better than ever.
Never mind, that the 7 footer hasn’t played in an NBA game since 2009.
They big guy says he’ll be ready for training camp come October.
NBA teams looking for a skilled center at a rock bottom price have taken notice.
Potential suitors include the Heat, the Spurs, the Celtics and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Oden played college ball with Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley Junior.
He will, of course, have to undergo a thorough medical examination before any team signs him.
