Mostly sunny skies will be the rule as we start the weekend. There will be a southeast breeze between 10 and 15 mph but it will usher in warmer low 70s by Saturday afternoon. Conditions look great for the afternoon college football game in Tuscaloosa and the evening game in Oxford. There won’t be any issues down in Baton Rouge, LA either.
Expect a few more clouds on Veterans Day and temperatures may actually be a few degrees warmer. Plan on highs in the low to mid 70s. Breezy southerly winds between 10 and 20 mph will continue.
Showers and storms will develop Sunday night and Monday as a cold front crosses the area. Heavy rain will be possible and we can’t rule out a few strong storms either. Meteorologist Maddie Kirker will have the latest on the situation on WCBI-TV and right here on WCBI.COM during the course of the weekend.
Cooler and drier air will settle back in behind the front for the middle of next week.
