ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI)-The American Legion Post 26 in Aberdeen, hosted a full menu of breakfast choices this morning for local Veterans. Volunteers began cooking around 4:00a.m., for the 73 veterans who showed up for breakfast.
Many war veterans were featured this morning such as soldiers from World War 2, Vietnam War, Korean War, and our current war. A POW MIA table was on display to commemorate servicemen unaccounted for and/or missing in America’s wars. Each item displayed at the table has a significant meaning to soldiers and their family members.
After breakfast, the Ladies of Auxiliary Unit 26 had a balloon release in honor of veterans and those who are no longer with us.
