A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9:00 PM for the following counties in MS: Attala, Carroll, Clay, Grenada, Kemper, Leake, Lowndes, Neshoba, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Webster & Winston and the following counties in AL: Fayette, Lamar, Pickens & Marion.
We’ve received several reports of hail and wind damage from across the viewing area this afternoon. The main line responsible for the majority of the reports is quickly moving east and into central Alabama. Even with the strongest activity moving away from us, there is still a chance of a rogue shower later on this evening as the overall system treks east. We are not expecting any sizable amounts of rain to occur due to these storms.
Clouds will try to thin out overnight, and we expect more sun and no rain for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the 60s and 50s Tuesday through Friday.
