Air Force Extends Columbus AFB Aircraft Maintenance Contract

COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. – The Air Force is extending the current aircraft maintenance contract with DynCorp International to March 31, 2013 following a protest of contract award filed by DynCorp to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The GAO is the audit, evaluation, and investigative arm of the United States Congress.

The Air Force awarded the Columbus aircraft maintenance contract to L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace out of Madison, Miss. on Oct. 26, 2012.
