AirGuide Expanding in Clarksdale

CLARKSDALE, Miss.—Gov. Phil Bryant, officials from AirGuide and local officials gathered today to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s manufacturing operations in Clarksdale, Miss. The governor and company officials announced last August AirGuide’s plans to locate in Clarksdale.

The new facility will create 40 full-time jobs with a company investment of $720,000.

“The grand opening today of AirGuide is great news for Clarksdale and the Mississippi Delta as our state continues to grow its manufacturing sector,” Gov. Bryant said. “The opening of this facility and the jobs being created here will have a positive effect on the local community and economy for years to come. I wish the AirGuide team many years of success in Mississippi.”

AirGuide manufactures parts for the HVAC industry and energy efficient lighting products. Last August, the company announced the consolidation of their operations in Mexico and Houston, Tex., into the Clarksdale facility.

“From Clarksdale, AirGuide will manufacture a variety of industry leading products for the HVAC industry and energy efficient lighting products. In addition, AirGuide has ownership in multiple companies that will also occupy space in this facility. American Green Technology will produce energy-efficient induction lighting fixtures here, and the Arcalux Health Risk Management System and Smart Fixture, which helps save lives by removing pathogens known to cause infections from hospitals, will also be manufactured here,” said Doug Marty, CEO of AirGuide Manufacturing. “We are very excited to see this project come together and we are looking forward to helping to improve the economies in Clarksdale, Coahoma County and the State of Mississippi.”

The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance for improvements to the publicly-owned building AirGuide occupies, as well as assistance to relocate equipment to the facility. Coahoma County also provided assistance for the project.

“It is always exciting to see a project such as AirGuide come together, and we congratulate the company and its employees on this milestone event,” said MDA Executive Director Brent Christensen. “MDA appreciates the team at AirGuide for selecting the Mississippi Delta for these operations and the creation of these new jobs. We thank our partners in Coahoma County who worked with us to bring this project to fruition.”

Headquartered in Hialeah, Fla., AirGuide manufactures a wide variety of products, as well as a broad range of custom-designed original equipment manufacturer products that can be modified to suit most applications. AirGuide has been in operation for nearly 50 years. To learn more, please visit www.airguidemfg.com.
