Alabama Finalizes 2014 Football Schedule with Home Game vs. Southern Miss

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WCBI/UA Athletics) – The University of Alabama completed next season’s football schedule on Wednesday with an agreement to play Southern Miss in Tuscaloosa on September 13, 2014. Alabama’s schedule includes seven home games, four road games, and one neutral site game next season.

The Crimson Tide will open the 2014 season against West Virginia, which will take place in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game for the second straight year and fourth time overall. Alabama opened the 2008 and 2009 seasons in Atlanta with wins over Clemson and Virginia Tech, respectively. UA and Virginia Tech kicked off the season this year in the Georgia Dome on August 31. Home games in 2014 include Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss, Florida, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Western Carolina and Auburn. Road games are Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tennessee and LSU.
