Aldridge Trial Faces Delay

TUPELO, Miss. (AP) – The case against state Rep. Brian Aldridge and his parents for allegedly taking property from a relative and converting it to their personal use has been moved to the February term of Lee County Circuit Court.

Their case was among the first on a docket call Monday when the November circuit court term began in Tupelo.

Mississippi attorney general’s office spokeswoman Jan Schaeffer tells the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/1g96iH8 ) that the case was continued until the next term of court, which is February. Schaeffer says no definite trial date is set.

Brian Aldridge, a Republican from Tupelo, is charged with one count of grand larceny.

Aldridge’s father, Louis Aldridge is charged with three counts embezzlement and his mother Janice Aldridge is charged with two counts of embezzlement.
