AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) - The town of Amory is honoring newly-crowned Miss Mississippi Chelsea Rick. Rick began her journey as “Miss Amory Railroad Festival” and the pageant committee is hosting a day of events Saturday to honor her.
Festivities kick off at 10:00am with the “Miss Mississippi & Me Tiaras and Tea.” The day will also include a fundraising event for Children’s Miracle Network and a parade.
Mayor Brad Blaylock will present a proclamation to kick off “Chelsea Rick Day” at 2:15 at Frisco Park. It will feature live entertainment, including a performance by Rick.
There will also be back to school resources, the Child I-D program, an autograph session, food and much more.
All events are free and open to the public.
