AMORY, Miss. (WCBI)-Some Amory kids got a chance to dine with soldiers and sugar-plum fairies.
Children throughout the Amory community were invited to have tea with the cast from the Nutcracker Saturday afternoon. They enjoyed a light snack followed by a short lesson on one of the dances that will be featured in Amory Dance Center’s production of the Nutcracker.
One participant says she can’t wait to join in on the fun.
“I came here to have a good time and dance on stage,”says Chloe Tharp.
“There is not many performance opportunities in Amory for children so we wanted to include as many kids as possible,” says Sally Laird.
The production of the Nutcracker took place Saturday night at 7:00pm. There will be a matinee performance Sunday at 2:00pm.
