AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – If they’re late too many times, Amory students could find themselves in class on a Saturday.

The Amory School Board approved the new tardy policy Monday night.

Saturday school will replace in and out of school suspension.

Superintendent Tony Cook says the goal is to keep students in the class as much as possible.

The policy goes into effect immediately.

Parents will be notified of the changes.
