Northeast, Miss. (WCBI) – For the eighth straight year, residents of Northeast Mississippi held a huge yard sale. It was the Annual Trash and Treasures Along the Tenn-Tom. Residents and even merchants along Highway 25 put out their items to draw people to the area. Tishomingo county residents came to one location in Belmont to look for some bargains.

“It’s the first weekend in October every year,” said participant Matthew Henry. “Just like us we’re a company but we set up. It’s a good opportunity to get rid of dead stock and different items such as that to move them. There’s also lots and lots of people that set up with just normal yard sale stuff,” said Henry.

The huge yard sale route along Highway 25 began at the Tennessee Mississippi State line and ended at Demopolis Alabama. There was also an additional route Highway 72 in Burnsville.
