Another Mistrial for Lamarcus Jones

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – Make it 4 mistrials for accused murderer LaMarcus Jones in Noxubee County.

Problems began shortly after the jury was seated this morning.

It turns out one of the jurors no longer lived in the county, and 2 others either knew Jones or his family but didn’t say so when the jury was being questioned.

That left Judge Jim Kitchens no choice but to declare a mistrial.

Jones is accused of fatally shooting Arveo Lane, at the Q-5 Club, back in 2008.

He could stand trial again next March.

In the meantime, Jones remains free on bond.
