MYRTLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Myrtle student is under arrest after calling in a second bomb threat to the school today.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards says the threat was called in after lunch Tuesday, but authorities were able to quickly link the call to the suspect and place him under arrest.

Edwards says a phone believed connected to the threat was recovered.

Students were evacuated and the school searched as a precaution, but nothing was discovered.

Authorities believe the same person is behind a similar threat last week.

The name of the suspect is not being released because of his age.
