Arrest Pending in Bomb Threat

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – West Point police say they’re close to making an arrest after a bomb threat was called into the high school. According to Sergeant Albert Lee, investigators are still looking into the bomb threat that was called into the school’s south campus around 1:15 Thursday (8-30) afternoon. All students and staff exited the school without injury and no explosives were found. Chief Tim Brinkley says they were able to determine the number the call originated from, as well as who owned the phone. A motive is not known at this time.
