Assault, Stolen Property Arrests Made

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — A second man has been charge

d in connection with an assault at a West Point apartment complex last month.

Lantra Haughton, 33, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the August 3rd incident at Town Creek Apartments. His bond is set at $10,000.

His brother, Jermaine Haughton, was arrested shortly after the incident, which was one of three within minutes of each other at the complex.

In an unrelated case, a Columbus man is arrested for a suspected role in the theft off a Chevrolet Suburban from West Point during the weekend.

Investigators say they think Mosley obtained the vehicle after it was stolen by someone else His bond is set at $10,000.
