Saturday and Sunday will stay mild and humid across Mississippi and Alabama. Afternoon highs will range from the upper 60s to the low and mid 70s but the exact temperature at your location will all depend on how much sunshine you manage to see. Low end rain chances will exist but the higher odds will favor our northern and western counties through Sunday afternoon.
A strong cold front is still expected to march across our area Sunday night / Monday morning and it will spark a bigger round of showers and storms. Widespread severe weather looks marginal at this point but it bears watching. Wind and hail appear like they would be the primary threats but new data may change that line of thinking later this weekend. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on things right here and on WCBI-TV during the coming days.
Cold but dry air will settle in behind the front for the middle of next week. Highs will be only in the 40s & 50s while lows will fall back into the 30s & 20s.
