BOIL WATER ALERT
The City of Starkville has issued a boil water notice for customers in the following area(s):
ALL MEMBERS OF THE FORMER OLD WEST POINT ROAD WATER ASSOCIATION NORTH OF GARRAD ROAD, INCLUDING NORTHGATE.
A spokesperson for the City of Starkville stated this precautionary action was necessary because the system lost pressure due to a water leak on the main line.
As soon as service/pressure is restored to the affected customers, water system officials will collect samples for testing and recommend that consumers vigorously boil their water for one minute before it is consumed.
