OXFORD, Miss. (AP) – A federal judge has revoked the bond of an Alabama man charged in the robberies of four north Mississippi banks.

The Daily Corinthian reports (http://bit.ly/TOUShd ) that U.S. District Judge Neal Biggers agreed this week with prosecutors’ argument that Brian Perry Jones remains a threat to the public.

The 35-year-old Jones, of Toney, Ala., is accused for robbing two banks in Tupelo and one each in Booneville and Iuka during a period from August to November of 2012. Jones was arrested in Tishomingo County following the last robbery.

He pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court in Oxford on Jan. 11. He was freed on $10,000 bond.

Biggers ordered Jones held without bond pending trial, which is set for March 4.
