Booneville Woman Charged With Drugs at Jail

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (Sheriff’s Press Release) — Shanquenetta Yvette Channelle, 28, of Booneville, was arrested Friday, Feb. 20 by Booneville Police on a shoplifting charge.

Channelle was brought to the Prentiss County Jail for processing. Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department jail staff searched Channelle and found her to be concealing cocaine in clothing.

Channelle was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a correctional facility by Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department investigators.

Channelle’s bond was set at $5,000 by Justice Court Judge Angela Pounds. Channelle made bond and now awaiting action of the Prentiss County Grand Jury.
