Booneville Woman Named ‘Most Beautiful’ at NEMCC

BOONEVILLE, Miss.– Northeast Mississippi Community College sophomore Krystal Jackson of Booneville (third from left) was crowned the college’s Most Beautiful at the annual Parade of Beauties held inside the Seth Pounds Auditorium on the Booneville campus, Tuesday, November 13.

Jackson bested 34 other contestants in the annual pageant to claim the title for the 2012-13 academic year.

Jackson was crowned by 2011-12 Most Beautiful Shelby Pulliam of Walnut and was given flowers by Northeast president Dr. Johnny L. Allen, Ed.D.

Contestants in the annual Parade of Beauties are judged on beauty, poise and elegance.

Before Jackson was crowned, the 35-contestant field was narrowed down to a Top 15 before the Top 5 was announced.

Included in the Top 5 were Mallory Michael of Booneville, Allie Downs of Booneville, Scarlett McCay of Booneville and Heather Holmes of Ackerman.

Other winners on the night included Maribeth Stuart of Philadelphia who was chosen as Most Photogenic and the Scholastic Award for the pageant went to two young women — Bradi Reader of Corinth and Stacy Skinner of Walnut.

Natalie Bullard of Ripley served as emcee for the night.

Northeast Student Government Association president Lucas Ferguson of Bruce was also on hand to assist with the presentation of flowers and trophies to the winners.
