Bryant Endorsed Anti-union Bills Wednesday

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Three anti-union laws were penned at the capital on Wednesday by Gov. Bryant.

He wants the residents of the state to know that activities such as intimidation will not be tolerated in the private or public sector.

According to the Daily Journal, the bills would be more of a concern for Northeast Mississippi considering the location of the Toyota plant. Minute efforts to unionize Nissan in Canton have fallen short in the past.

In an overview, the anti-union bills prohibit demonstrations and protests that block entrances to a business or residence, prevents local governments from passing their own laws antagonizing the formation of a union and does not tolerate any intimidation by a union upon a business.
