Burglars Targeting Cars

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Burglars are targeting vehicles in Montgomery County.

One of those broken into was Kilmichael’s Chief of Police’s squad car. Chief David Eldridge says at least 10 vehicles were broken into Wednesday (12/19) morning. All the vehicles were at homes on Ridge Road. Among the items taken were wallets, Christmas presents and guns including a shotgun and a pistol from Chief Eldridge’s car.

It’s also being investigated whether these burglaries are connected to recent burglaries of six vehicles at the Holiday Inn Express in Winona last week.
