Video: Residents Remember Caledonia Rifles

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) — Caledonia residents are taking time this weekend to remember their history.

They held ceremonies at Unity Cemetery Saturday to remember the members of the Caledonia Rifles.

The event allow residents to learn more about them, and show respect.

Jeff Hendrix came out the enjoy the event and said, “These community people took arms to defend their rights and we are here to celebrate that.”

After the ceremonies at Unity, local re-enactors showed period firearms, and civil war battle formations.
