Skies will clear out during the night and low temperatures will fall into the low 50s. We’ll enjoy a good amount of sun on Wednesday and highs will climb back into the low 80s. You will notice an increase in wind and humidity as the afternoon goes on.
A strong cold front will spark a strong line of storms in Arkansas by late Wednesday afternoon and the storms will rumble across our area during the early morning hours on Thursday. The window of severe weather potential for us appears to be between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. Damaging wind gusts over 60 mph remain the biggest threat but a spin up tornado or two cannot be ruled out somewhere across North Mississippi. Some hail is also possible.
The storms will clear our area fast enough to allow for a mostly sunny and comfortable Thursday. Highs will be back into the 70s. Great fall weather will stick around for Friday, the weekend, and early next week. How about that?
