Carver Drive May Finally Get Relief

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Starkville may have found a way to address drainage problems that have plagued the Carver Drive neighborhood for more than 30 years.

Aldermen Tuesday night approved a low-interest $1.5 million loan from a state revolving loan fund to sewer service to commercial areas along Highway 25 in southwest Starkville annexed 14 years ago.

That project will cost about $1 million, leaving $450,000 to start work on the Carver Drive project, which has been debated by aldermen for more than a year.
