We received between 1/2 and 1 inch of rain on average as the showers and storms moved across the area early Monday morning. Hopefully your location got a good dose of moisture because it looks like we’ll have dry conditions around here into next week.
Skies will be clear tonight and overnight lows will dip back down into the low 30s and upper 20s. A FREEZE WARNING has been issued for areas along and south of US 82 in Mississippi and across our Alabama counties. We’ll moderate back into the 50s by Tuesday afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
There may be a few more clouds around the area on Wednesday but that will be about as exciting as it will get for a while. High temperatures will remain in the 50s and lows should be in the low 30s. Keep in mind the average high/low right now is 67/43.
Seasonably cool low 60s look likely for the end of the work week and the upcoming weekend. Temperatures at night may moderate back into the mid 30s during this time. Fair skies will hold and that bodes well for outdoor activities.
