Choctaw Principal Resigns

ACKERMAN, Miss. (WCBI) — Another transition is coming to the newly merged Choctaw County High school.

Principal Cory Blaylock has resigned to take another job, leaving the Choctaw County school district searching for a replacement.

Blaylock has been principal at Ackerman High for two years and led it to a high-performing rating on the state’s grading list.

Earlier this year, the district got permission to consolidate Weir middle and high school students into Ackerman, creating a new Choctaw County High School.

That transition takes effect when school starts in August.
