City of Corinth Asks Local School District to Repay Funds

CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) – The city of Corinth is asking for a hefty sum be repayed by the Corinth school district.

Nearly two decades ago the Corinth school district sold land to a developer who built a Taco Bell on the  location.

The city of Corinth is asking the school board to repay $35,000 for improper sale of the location – which they say belonged to the city.

The city sent the school board a letter on Monday stating their grievances.

Since the city of Corinth has agreed to suggested amounts of payment for prior school properties, the school board has agreed to pay a fee of $10 for the property.
