City of Starkville Hires Community Developer

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The City of Starkville names its first ever director of community development.

The Board of Alderman hired former Tuscaloosa economic developer William L.”Bill” Snowden for the position. Snowden has 10 years of experience working in the planning departmets of Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Snowden earned a master’s degree in political science and public administration from Jacksonville State University in Alabama and a master’s degree in city planning from Georgia Tech.

Salary for the position will be set at $75,000 per year.
