Clay Deputies Make Three Arrests In Separate Cases

West Point, Mississippi (WCBI) – Clay County deputies arrest three men in separate investigations.

Ahmad Cox, 28, is charged with five counts of sale of cocaine and one count of possession with intent distribute cocaine.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and West Point police conducted the investigation.

Cox’s bond was set $150,000.

Shawn Swindle, 41, of Louisville is charged with grand larceny. He’s accused of stealing an equipment trailer.

There have been a rash of similar thefts in the area.

Clay and Oktibbeha investigators, along with the The Mississippi Agricultural and Livestock Theft Bureau are investigating.

Swindle’s bond was set at $25,000.

In a possibly related case, Jonathon Fleming, 41, of Mantee is charged with five counts of identity theft.

Sheriff Eddie Scott says Fleming used a fake ID to sell scrap metal.

Fleming’s bond is set at $100,000.
