Cloudy & Crisp Tonight / Sunny & Cool Sunday

A stubborn deck of stratus clouds has kept most of the viewing area east of I-55 cool today with highs only ranging the lower 50s. Some of our viewing area (NW counties,) ended the day with sunshine!

These clouds will hold tough at least until the beginning of the day tomorrow. With that said, lows tonight wont be as cold thanks to a stiff northerly breeze at around 10 MPH and thick cloud coverage.

Skies will clear by the afternoon hours Sunday giving way to Sunny skies with highs near 60 degrees. Winds will continue to be strong out of the north from 10-25 MPH. Lows Sunday night will be in the middle 30s. As of now things aren’t looking as “frost-like” Sunday night & Monday night although we’ll have to keep an eye out for some of our northern counties that may experience patchy frost from here to there.

Cool temperatures stick around until the end of next week. Halloween is looking spooky and crisp with lows Wednesday night expected to be in the upper 30s.
