Skies will be clear during the overnight hours but the wind will remain a bit on the breezy side. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s to around 30. Wind chill values will fall into the 20s and perhaps even the upper 10s late. Bundle up!
Winter will officially arrive at 5:11 a.m. Friday and we’re actually going to have winter-like air in place for a change. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s but a NW wind between 10 and 15 mph will make it feel a little bit cooler than that. Skies will feature wall to wall sunshine.
Saturday will also be bright and sunny but the wind will be much lighter. Afternoon highs should nudge a little bit closer toward the mid 50s. It will be a great day for some last minute Christmas shopping.
An isolated shower will be possible on Sunday but it looks like a much better opportunity for moisture will come early next week. Details on that system remain scarce at this time but we should know a lot more by Saturday. One thing that looks interesting right now is the possibility of wintry weather on Wednesday if enough cold air can move in from the north. It certainly bears watching.
