Cold Tonight, Sunny Monday

It seemed like it took an eternity to clear out the clouds on Sunday but skies are now clear and they will remain that way through the night.  Temperatures will fall into the mid 20s by daybreak.

We’ll be treated to bright sunshine on Monday along with seasonable temperatures.  Afternoon highs will be in the low 50s and the wind will be light from the northeast.  Clouds will increase on Tuesday but our area will remain dry.  Upper 50s are expected for the 2nd day of the work week.

Plan on more cloud cover and a chance of rain showers on Wednesday as a warm front moves in from the south.  This boundary will usher in mild & humid conditions for the end of the work week.  Right now it looks like Thursday may feature the best chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front swings on through.  Heavy rain and the threat of some severe weather remain a possibility.

Unseasonably mild conditions should stick around into the upcoming weekend but a 2nd cold front will keep the threat of  showers and storms in the forecast.  Much colder air, perhaps the coldest of the season, may settle into the area next week.
