Video: Columbus and Light Water Board Member Replaced

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A long-time member of the Columbus Light and Water board is replaced.

After considering four of the five applicants, the Columbus City Council tonight voted 3 to 2 to name Michael Tate to replace David Shelton on the board. Shelton had served for 15 years.

Tate is manager of First Franklin Financial Services in Columbus. Board members set policy for the utility, get a small monthly salary and are eligible for city insurance.
