COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The application to establish Inspire Charter School in Columbus remains up in the air.

Organizers tell WCBI as they were uploading the final two documents the state’s computer system locked them out at Monday’s three PM deadline.

This is a statement Tommie Cardin, Chair of the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board, released to WCBI on Tuesday regarding Inspire’s application:

“The Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board has not received any communication from Inspire Charter School about technical difficulties. However, the board did receive a submission from Inspire. If any applicant experienced technical difficulties, the Board will assess what the appropriate action should be going forward.”
