Columbus Doctor Reapplies for DEA License

COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI) He was found not guilty of all charges last October. Now, the Columbus doctor exonerated on charges that he was running a pill mill out of his office is working to get his medical career back on track.

Dr Michael White re-applied for his DEA and medical license to get his practice up and running again. His DEA license allows him to prescribe drugs.

Prosecutors said Dr. White prescribed addictive weight loss pills to patients who didn’t need them.

The charges came after federal and state agents raided his Columbus office in June 2011.

The trial lasted two days and White was cleared of all wrong doing.
