Video: Columbus Home Destroyed in Friday Fire

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Columbus house burns to the ground in a Friday fire.

The blaze broke out at just after 2 p.m.

By the time Columbus firefighters arrived, the white wooden framed home located at 1405 11th Ave. N. Short was fully engulfed. Firefighters were able to get it under control quickly, but remained on the scene treating hot spots.

The structure appears to be a total loss. No one was in the house at the time, and no injuries have been reported.

Fire investigators have yet to determine the cause.
