Video: Columbus Movie Theater Raises Money For Humane Society

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The  Columbus Malco Cinema turns into a jungle  to help a local organization.

The theater hosted a family friendly event to help promote the release of Rio 2.

Kids participated in games and other activities.

Along with the jungle activities, movie goers could donate funds or items to help the Columbus Humane Society.

“This gives us an excellent opportunity to involve businesses from around the area and also to support local charities such as the humane society and we’re grateful to be able to have them out here,” says Brad Hargett.

Gift cards from local restaurants and other prizes were given to moviegoers.
