Company Adding 18 Jobs in Maben

MABEN, Miss. –BK Edwards Fabrication and Welding announces the company is expanding operations at its facility in Maben, Miss. The project represents a $70,000 company investment and will create 18 new jobs, bringing employment at the facility to approximately 50.

“Mississippi’s smaller companies like BK Edwards Fabrication and Welding are at the heart of the state’s economy. Whether they create 10 jobs or 100 jobs, each new opportunity for the residents of Mississippi is equally important,” Gov. Phil Bryant said. “I thank the BK Edwards team for its commitment to Maben and the state of Mississippi, and I wish the company many more years of successful operations.”

“BK Edwards is looking forward to the road improvements for our customers and vendors that visit daily,” said BK Edwards President and CEO Bruce Edwards. “We would like to thank the Mississippi Development Authority and the Webster County Supervisors for working with us to help improve economic growth in Webster County.”

The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance in support of the project to pave the access road leading to the company’s facility. Webster County is providing in-kind assistance for the project.

Family-owned and operated, BK Edwards Fabrication and Welding has been in business in Maben since 1999. The company fabricates and welds a variety of stainless steel products, including handrails, catwalks, platforms, and pipes.
