Compass Bowl Update From Birmingham

A number of Ole Miss players took part in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast this morning. Senior linebacker Joel Kight shared his testimony before a packed ballroom at the Sheraton.

“I was more nervous around all these people than I was before a regular game,” said Kight, a senior from Lithonia, Ga, “but it’s always and honor to get to talk about God and to talk about your faith.”

Former Alabama linebacker Rich Wingo, who went on to play with the Green Bay Packers, was the keynote speaker and challenged the players and all in attendance to be leaders in their faith and to understand how that impacts the lives of those who follow them.

The Pittsburgh players are staying at the Wynfrey in Hoover and bussed over for the event.

The Sheraton is the team hotel for Ole Miss.
