The first weekend of October will definitely reinforce the fact that fall has arrived. Sweaters, hoodies, and perhaps an umbrella will be good things to have during the coming days.
Clouds will be more numerous on Saturday and there will be scattered showers in the area. Afternoon temperatures should be mainly in the 60s (some 50s are possible in the north while some 70s are possible in the south). A northerly breeze between 5 and 20 mph will make it feel a bit cooler too. Be sure to dress for the weather if you will be attending the Texas A&M/Ole Miss game Saturday evening.
It looks like we’ll start out Sunday in the 40s and only rebound back into the low to mid 60s by the afternoon. We’re hoping for brighter skies to develop as the day wears on but there is still the chance of a few showers.
Conditions will moderate early next week under mostly sunny skies. 70s look attainable by Tuesday and we may be flirting with 80 again Wednesday and Thursday.
