With mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies today, highs will have no problem surpassing 90 and making a run to 94. The heat index will be over 100 yet below Heat Advisory criteria for most of us. Still, stay hydrated if you are going to be outdoors a while.
A few showers may spark this afternoon, but nothing widespread or severe is expected.
Highs will again make it above 90 for Friday with afternoon showers. As a front draws closer to us Friday night, rain chances will be on the increase. At this point, it looks like Friday night football will be fine. We are still working on the timing, though.
Late Friday night into Saturday morning brings the highest chance for rain. It will be heavy at times and should come to an end by early afternoon. Behind the front, cooler, drier air awaits! Highs will top out in the 80s this weekend with morning lows in the upper 50s Sunday night.
